Uji Matcha Latte
Make your own matcha latte at home, or at the office, with Uji Matcha Latte. Uji is the famed region in Japan known as the birthplace of Japanese tea. The finely ground matcha is combined with Japanese granulated sugar and glucose, to give a slight, but not too sweet taste, to compliment the fragrant flavour of matcha.
How to prepare:
- For a hot matcha latte, combine 10g of matcha latte powder with hot milk in a cup, stir it until dissolved and drink.
- For a cold matcha latte, combine 10g of matcha latte powder with a small amount of hot milk, stir it until it forms a paste, add cold milk, stir again and drink. A cold matcha latte can also be made slightly thicker as a topping for ice cream,

Matcha is finely powdered green tea, which is mixed into water or milk, as opposed to sencha, which is steeped served without the leaves. Matcha requires careful cultivation and preparation techniques, including shade growing, hand picking, de-stemming and de-veining of the leaf, as well as fine grinding.
