HK-6 'Hocho Kobo' Ajikiri Knife

R 2,340.00

The Tadafusa Hocho Kobo range of household knives combines a contemporary look with the traditional hand forged knife making techniques of the company. The HK-6 ajikiri knife (the HK-6 is also referred to as small deba) is a single-bevel knife, making it ideal for right handed cooks who wish to fillet fish cleanly and precisely.

The blade combines SLD steel which provides a sharp cutting edge with a stainless steel coating for the body. The chestnut handle is heat treated in order to prevent shrinkage and to increase bacterial resistance.

Dimensions: 100mm blade length; 210mm total length

Tadafusa is a third generation knife making company based in Sanjō, Niigata Prefecture, a region with a long history of steel work. The Hocho Kobo range is designed by Fumie Shibata, a Japanese industrial designer who has won many awards for her designs.
